One night in Berkeley Square…

It all started about two months ago, when my client Guthy Renker told me about an event called Beauty Speed PR hosted by Beauty Test & Perfect. They wanted me and my colleague, Estelle, to attend. We are fabulous after all. Essentially, this involved being put in front of influential beauty writers (journalists and bloggers) and given twenty minutes with each to discuss the products we represent.

I have worked with beauty bloggers for a good six/seven months now, and was very excited to meet a few face to face – namely, the ones I recognised on the list were LipGlossiping and OSOGlam. It was also great to see that bloggers had been considered in the organisation of this event.

Set in the lovely location of Morton’s Club, the event was a great success. What did I learnt? Though I already knew it, the intelligence and passion for the industry was confirmed for me. Questions were thrown left, right and centre about ingredients, usability and price points. And when I wasn’t entirely sure, I was given interesting insights into certain areas. For instance, Charlotte (LipGlossiping) and I had a great conversation about her current SLS free shampoo/conditioner trial. I am a bit of a geek, so I loved it.

Fact – any beauty obsessive will happily spend for that Holy Grail of a product.

Networking is an essential part of the beauty industry and later in the year I will be hosting a beauty blogger event. Will keep you all posted.

Now here are some pictures, that’s me, the boy. The only boy of the whole night – bar the waiter.

  1. Oh, how weird! Apart from wanting to burn that photo… we’re mimicking each other’s body language!

T’was a great event and truly interesting chatting to you!
